The Colombian startup that collects payments through WhatsApp

OnePay, a Colombian paytech, has raised $1.3 million in a recent pre-seed funding round. With this investment, the startup will be able to expand its WhatsApp payment collection services. According to Forbes, this initial round was mainly supported by angel investors.

Andrés Silva, CEO of OnePay and a veteran in the technology-based startup ecosystem, leads the company with the goal of simplifying payments India WhatsApp Number List between users and companies in Colombia. “After previous experiences trying to improve business liquidity, we decided to take advantage of WhatsApp’s omnipresence to facilitate secure and fast transactions,” Silva explained to Forbes. 

Since its launch in May 2023, OnePay has processed more than 15 million monthly transactions, working primarily with large utility companies in Colombia. The platform allows users to receive invoices directly on WhatsApp and make payments instantly after setting up their account and preferred payment method.
